when I close my eyes (painting)

It's clear that visual art is my way of processing and connecting with my lived experiences, many of them universal in scope. Color and form being my first language, I chose to paint when I'm seeking translation and close my eyes when nothing makes sense. It's in this action where I can see the temperature of my breath, the light and air that envelopes my body, my inundation of pleasure or rage. The whole story is right there in front of me.
